I DEFINITELY am one of millions of Pakistanis who have been battered by inflation after a rollercoaster ride offered by PTI government’s economic policies.

But does the recent inflation warrant triple or quadruple price hike? As much as I know owing to recent economic policies there has been rise in inflation rate but I believe vendors, retail shopkeepers and business owners have exploited the outcry in the media in their advantage by doubling or tripling the prices almost overnight.

Since there’s no mechanism in Pakistan to regulate prices and to safeguard consumers’ interests (like consumer protection boards etc., at least not in practice; I am sure there must be one written somewhere), the common person like me has been adversely affected.

I imploringly request the prime minister and his several advisers to take notice of this inflation, which looks artificial.
