TAXILA: The Hassanabdal police on Tuesday booked a seminary teacher for beating a 12-year-old student reportedly for not remembering his lesson.

Jameel Ahmed reported to the police that on Monday night somebody told him that the seminary teacher had beaten his son and he was feeling pain in his chest and back.

He went to the seminary located in Dhoke Miskeen in the limits of city police station and found his son in a bad condition.

He was informed by his son that the teacher had allegedly subjected him to severe torture.

He said he took his son to THQ hospital from where he was referred to Holy Family Hospital, Rawalpindi due to unavailability of adequate medical facilities.

Duty Medical Officer at THQ hospital Dr Naseem told newsmen that the student suffered internal injuries therefore he was referred to a surgeon for treatment as there was no surgeon available at the hospital.

No arrest has been made by Hassanabdal police till the filing of this report.

Three girls abducted

Three girls were abducted in separate incidents in Wah police station area on Tuesday.

Aabida Bibi reported to the police that his 14-year-old daughter was abducted.

In the second incident, Mohammad Rafeeq reported to the police that his daughter went to a local college to appear in BSc practical examination but did not return.

He feared that she might have been abducted. Adnan Khan reported to the police that his 20-year-old sister was abducted by four persons.

Wah police have registered separate cases and started investigation.
