JHANG: A 12-year-old schoolgirl died after a fall from the under-construction upper storey of a public school building on Friday.

The construction work was going on at the upper portion of the building of the Govt Girls High School, Haveli Bahadur Shah. Tanzeela Aslam went upstairs and fell down. She fainted as soon as she hit the ground. In response to the emergency call, the Rescue 1122 shifted her to the DHQ hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.

Minister for School Education Murad Raas has taken notice of the incident and ordered an inquiry into it. CEO (Education) Attaullah, in his written reply, said, “the victim student was playing in the school and rushed towards the upper portion of the incomplete building when the incident happened”.
