KARAK: A land dispute claimed the lives of two brothers, while their father and uncle also sustained critical injuries in the firing in Takht-i-Nurati tehsil here on Tuesday night.

Police said firing started between rival groups, led by real cousins, over a piece of land in Chobikas area.

They said as a result of firing, two brothers identified as Umer Nawaz and Noor Nawaz, were killed on the spot while their father, Bahader Nawaz and uncle, Sher Nawaz were injured.

They were rushed to the district headquarters hospital, Karak, where the doctors referred them to a hospital in Peshawar due to their precarious conditions. Police registered FIR of the incident and started further investigations.
