ISLAMABAD: Five deputy superintendents of police (DSP) have been promoted to superintendents of police (SP).

The Ministry of Interior issued a notification on Thursday regarding the promotion of five DSPs to the rank of SP.

The promoted officers are Malik Naeem, Idrees Rathor, Abdul Razaaq, Bakhtiar Ahmed and Abdul Hafeez.

They were promoted after approval from the promotions committee.

Police said all the officers were recruited in the capital police’s first batch, passed out in 1983.
