KARACHI: Three youths died from inhaling smoke inside a house in Shah Faisal Colony early on Monday morning.

Shah Faisal Colony SHO Tanvir Shah said that electricity had gone off in the area and the residents ran a generator inside a room and slept. The smoke emanating from the generator filled the room and all three persons died from inhaling smoke. The area SHO ruled out the possibility of any foul play behind the tragic death of three youths.

The bodies were shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre to fulfil legal formalities.

The dead were identified as Mohammed Raza, 17, Mohammed Rizwan, 22, and Mohammed Arsalan.

Two of them were labourers while the third one was a nephew of the owner of the house.

The SHO said that since it was an accident, no case had been registered.
