I visited Iran a couple of weeks back. Besides others, the best part of the 12-hour-long journey was from the city of Qom to Mashhad. I have undertaken many train journeys in Pakistan, but faced difficulties in offering prayers. Generally, we have to offer obligatory prayers in a moving train.
To my surprise, in Iran the train stops for 20 minutes for passengers to offer prayers. More surprisingly, they have high standard for a neat and clean area for performing ‘wazoo’, and there is a mosque at every station.
Being an Islamic republic, Pakistan should provide similar facilities to our passengers.
