ISLAMABAD: While Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Pakistan Muslim League-N supreme leader Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz are already in the UK, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan left for London on Saturday.

Mr Khan, accompanied by PTI information secretary Fawad Chaudhry and special assistant Aown Chaudhry, left for London aboard a Pakistan International Airlines flight.

According to a statement released by the PTI, during his stay in the UK Mr Khan will participate in a fund-raising campaign for Namal College in Manchester, chair party meetings, address British parliamentarians and give interviews to international media organisations.

He will go directly from London to Lahore on April 24 and will participate in a meeting of his party to finalise arrangements for a public meeting to be held at the Minar-i-Pakistan on April 29.
