MULTAN: One more patient of the seasonal influenza H1N1 died at Nishtar Hospital on Monday, raising the death toll in the city to 30.

The deceased was identified as Khurshid Bibi, 45 of Jhang. She was under treatment at the intensive care unit of the hospital.

According to the health department statistics, 226 suspected patients had been admitted to various hospitals in the district since Dec 15. Of them, 113 tested positive for H1N1 while the result of blood samples of 14 others was awaited.

As per official record, nine swine flu patients were being treated at the Nishtar Hospital.
