KARACHI: The body of a man was found in front of a marriage lawn in the Korangi Crossing area on Friday. Zaman Town SHO Mohammed Ashfaq said the deceased was identified as Irfan alias Karma.

He added that the deceased had a criminal record and had been arrested by the Zaman Town police.

“Karma remained imprisoned for several years in the past,” the police official said.

“He might have been gunned down by his accomplices over some issue and was then thrown under a parked truck to give an impression of an accident,” he further said.

“Rescue service workers first took his body to a nearby hospital thinking he died in a road accident. But it transpired at the hospital that he sustained a bullet wound on his shoulder.

“The body was then shifted to the JPMC for legal formalities,” Mr Ashfaq said.
