QUETTA: A doctor was killed in an attack in the Eastern Bypass area of the city on Sunday, police said. Dr Abdul Haleem was sitting in his clinic near the Jattak stop when two men barged into it and opened fire on him.

The assailants who came on a motorcycle escaped after killing the doctor.

After receiving information about the attack, police rushed to the area and shifted the body to the Civil Hospital.

The body was handed over to the doctor’s family after medico-legal formalities.

The police have registered a case against unidentified assailants.
