ISLAMABAD: The business community of the federal capital has urged the mayor to allocate a separate business space for car dealers of the city.

Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) President Khalid Iqbal Malik on Monday said that car dealers were allocated a separate space for conducting business the world over and that there were no such arrangements in Islamabad, which is why car dealers were doing business in markets.

“The situation has created parking and other issues for ordinary citizens and dealers on the other hand are harassed by the police and even by enforcement departments of the Capital Development Authority (CDA),” the ICCI president said when addressing a visiting delegation of Traders Welfare Association led by its newly elected president, Raja Khurram Niaz.
