KARACHI: Pakistan has hit a new low in football rankings as the men’s team was ranked at world No. 198.

Moreover, Pakistan is now ranked the last among Asian countries.

FIFA released its latest rankings on Thursday.

The only teams ranking below Pakistan are Montserrat, Cayman Islands, Turks and Caicos Islands, San Marino, Andorra, British Virgin Islands, Anguilla, Bahamas, Djibouti, Eritrea, Gibraltar, Somalia and Tonga.

Last month’s rankings had Pakistan at 197 but this month the team has hit a new low.

Sri Lanka is ranked 196, India at 130, Nepal at 173, Bangladesh at 190, Bhutan at 177, Maldives at 140 while Afghanistan is ranked world No 151.
