QUETTA: Security forces killed two suspected militants and seized a large quantity of arms and ammunition during an operation in Dera Bugti and Kohlu districts on Friday.

Official sources said that personnel of the Frontier Corps and an intelligence agency launched a search operation on information about the presence of militants in the Pir Sahri area of Dera Bugti and Aomari in Kohlu.

Two suspected militants were killed in a heavy exchange of fire during the operation, said the sources, adding that the arms and ammunition seized from the hideouts included anti-aircraft guns, hand-grenades, rockets and thousands of rounds of different calibre.

“Eight militant hideouts were destroyed in the operation,” they added.
