QUETTA: Pledging full support of the Balochistan government to all non-governmental organisations (NGOs) working for the promotion of the education and health sectors in the province, Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Zehri said that the government viewed such NGOs with great respect and reverence. He was talking to a delegation of Muslim Hands Pakistan, an NGO headed by Syed Bakhat Hasnain, which called on him on Thursday.

Briefing the chief minister on welfare services his organisation was carrying out, Mr Hasnain said that Muslim Hands had branches in 50 countries and more than 2,500 employees were working for it.

He said that besides carrying out relief activities during natural calamities, his organisation also worked for the promotion of the education and health sectors.

He said the NGO wanted to set up a modern school and college in Quetta for boys and girls to provide quality education along with Islamic education and requested the chief minister to provide land for the purpose. He said that the organisation would also provide latest machinery to the government of Balochistan for diagnosing cancer and treatment of patients besides helping it in the education and health sectors.
