GUJRANWALA: Two students of the Ismat Girls College, Dhansir Paeen, were injured seriously on Tuesday in a cracker blast in the classroom.

The students were present in the class when some unidentified people threw a gift pack there. Being curious, when the students opened it, the package exploded with a bang leaving first year students Javeria and Oniba injured.

Parents rushed to the college to see their daughters.

Soon, police and Rescue 1122 personnel arrived at the scene. The injured were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital.

Police found no clue to the suspects in the locality.

The Counter-Terrorism Department and police are investigating into the matter.

CASE: Severe torture by a seminary teacher has left a minor student injured in Whando.

Police registered a case against the teacher.

Ali Hasan, 10, was beaten by Qari Sanaullah for not learning the lesson on Saturday (Jan 7).

According to police, the teacher locked him in a room for two days and poured cold water on him.
