Top seeds enter quarter-finals

ISLAMABAD: Top seed Aqeel Khan, Ahmed Chaudhry, Heera Ashiq, Barkatullah, Muzammil Murtaza, Shahzad Khan, Aman Atiq and Mohammad Abid reached the men’s singles quarter-finals of the First Chairman POF Board National Ranking Tennis Championships.

The only upset of the day at the Ordinance Club Wah Cantt was seventh-seeded Usman Rafiq crashing out 5-7, 4-6 to Barkatullah.

Barkat broke Usman in the 12th game of the first set and then in the fifth game of the second to set up a last-eight clash against Heera.
