NEW DELHI: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has warned his ministers against "chest thumping" on surgical strikes, NDTV reported on Wednesday.
Citing sources, NDTV said Modi has advised his cabinet members not to speak out of turn on claimed surgical strikes carried out by Indian forces across the Line of Control (LoC) last week.
Days after the Indian government claimed its troops carried out surgical strikes by crossing the LoC to hunt terrorists in Azad Kashmir, Indian opposition parties on Tuesday asked for proof.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal chose a novel way to press the question.
He leaned on Pakistan's shoulder to shoot off a query to Prime Minister Modi, saying he should give a stinging rejoinder to Islamabad's persistent denial of any such strike.
Senior Congress leaders said variously there were doubts in the public mind, not the least because of Pakistan's denial, and sought clarification with proof that strikes did in fact take place.
The government has responded by accusing the questioners of insulting India’s ‘valiant soldiers’.

As now problem occurred When their own Indian leaders raising questions on this issue. And he want close this chapter as there was nothing happen like that. This surgical strike thing is a doubled edge shord for Indian government..... it cant give a proof of it (even if they have any) as it will give Pakistan an edge in international politics ... calming India is openly violating LOC or working boundary even in time of peace. If government denies the attack (even if it is true and in actual no such strike had taken place) ruling party will get a major set back in upcoming election for playing with people emotions.
