RAWALPINDI: The city’s traffic police is getting a new Chief Superintendent of Police, Dr Ghias Gul, who will take charge of his new office on Monday.

Dr Gul was serving as SP Saddar Circle before this and a notification for his transfer to the city traffic department as its chief was issued on Saturday.

Talking to Dawn, the new traffic chief said he aimed at improving the traffic situation in Rawalpindi and bringing traffic control at par with that in Islamabad.

SSP Shoaib Khuram Janbaz was serving as CTO Rawalpindi before this and he was transferred to Gilgit as DPO Chilas.
