MULTAN: The polygraph and DNA tests of the suspect in the Qandeel Baloch murder case were conducted at a forensic lab in Lahore on Friday.

The police official heading the investigation team took suspect Muhammad Waseem, brother of the victim, to Lahore. The result of the polygraph (lie detector) test is expected on Monday, while that of DNA may take some days.

Police on July 20 obtained five-day physical remand of Waseem who had confessed, before the judicial magistrate on July 19.

Meanwhile, acting SP, Investigation, Ali Mardan said police would interrogate Mufti Abdul Qavi regarding the case next week.

He said police investigation so far suggested that Aslam Shaheen, another brother of Qandeel who was initially nominated in the FIR by the family, was not involved in the case.

Why prolong this case, this man has already confess to the crime. Give him punishment and get it over with this drama. Do we really have to show the world how dis function our legal system is since all the western media is following closely to this case.

Look the faces of police they are hungry, in tens imbalance body at least government should re-check every police men health and fitness in every 3 months. I am recommending to government to start physical fitness test in every 3 months.

Polygraph testing is not considered reliable in the West because guilty people can trick the test, and innocent people with anxiety can fail it.

The whole world 's eyes are set on the Illegal occupation of [honour killing] in the mind set of misguided people. Remember it is the followers of the non-believers who believe in this kind of ideology not the true muslims. The ignorant minority,in this day and age, must be taught a lesson never to be forgotten. People must awake to the true teachings of Islam that forbids this type of practise.A clear guide line in the parliament must be encouraged and very strict law including bringing back capital punishment must be introduced by the government immediately.

Polygraph is not a trust-worthy test. Living in the US my acquaintance (mostly from the third world) used to pass this test while keep stealing from the stores they used to work at. There is a way to cheat the polygraph testing.
