FACILITIES DEMANDED: The people of Kamanger, Shagi Lawagher, Dabli Lawagher, Khusra, Faqirabad and adjoining villages took to the streets on Tuesday to demand provision of basic facilities of life. They threatened to launch a protest movement against elected representative of their constituency if their demand was not met.

The residents complained that the entire Lawagher region was deprived of basic facilities as the elected representatives, particularly MNA Nasir Khan Khattak, had not spent any penny on development of the area so far in three years. They said the main road leading to the hilly region from the district headquarters was a narrow strip which needed to be widened and blacktopped.
