HYDERABAD: The Pakistan Peoples Party-Shaheed Bhutto (PPP-SB) organised a founding day programme of the party at the local press club here on Monday when a cake was also cut.

Those who spoke on the occasion included Sindh PPP-SB general secretary Aslam Shah, divisional president Abdul Majeed Siyal, provincial information secretary Peeral Majidano and Abdul Razaq Nizamani.

They said Z.A. Bhutto had founded the PPP in 1967 to represent the poor and the downtrodden of the country so that they could get their due rights relating to jobs and social justice.

They said there was an outpouring support from the masses for Z.A. Bhutto. They said that since he was trying to change the present rotten system, he was sent to the gallows. Later, they said, those who got votes in his name and became leaders always trampled over the rights of people.

The PPP-SB leaders said those people indulged in corruption and filled their coffers.

PPP-Workers programme

Pakistan Peoples Party-Workers organised a PPP founding day programme at Kot Waleed.

Ex-MPA Haji Munawwar Ali Abbasi, along with other leaders and senior activists, cut a cake at the ceremony.

Mr Abbasi, who also heads the Larkana Awami Ittehad (LAI), spoke to the participants and said Z.A. Bhutto formed a party for common man to serve the masses after saying goodbye to “drawing room politics”. Unfortunately, he observed, now the party had reverted to the drawing room politics.

“We should follow Z.A. Bhutto’s philosophy in serving the masses and doing politics,” he said.
