Revival or no revival of cinema, the fact remains that nothing could be more heartening, especially for our showbiz fraternity, to know that Pakistani films are these days doing just as good at the box office as their Bollywood and Hollywood counterparts.

This Eid-ul-Azha cineplexes and multiplexes in Karachi, on the release of Pakistani films Jawani Phir Nahi Ani, Hulla Gulla and Manto, attracted as many cinegoers, if not more, as English and Indian movies. Even the films which were released a few months earlier too did well on Eid day. This means things are looking up for Pakistani cinema. Way to go, guys. Keep making movies!
