CHINIOT: At least 14 activists of seminaries and banned religious outfits were arrested for collecting hides of sacrificial animals in different localities here.

The district coordination officer had imposed a ban on the collection of hides of sacrificial animals without his permission.

The arrests were made after joint raids by the district police and the Counter Terrorism Department.

Among those arrested were Wakeel Ahmad, Abid, Anas, Yasin, Sanaullah, Mubeen, Hassan, Khalil Ahmad, Ashraf Ali, Adnan, Adeel Ahmad, Zahid Ali and Abdul Hafeez.

SIALKOT: The Daska police arrested three members of different banned militant organisations for collecting the hides of the sacrificial animals on Eid.

Police also recovered 28 hides from the suspects, identified as Abdul Sattar, Qasim and Nasir. Separate cases have been registered against them.

Meanwhile, police arrested one Mastana red-handed while slaughtering a donkey in Daska city’s congested Barkat Town locality on Eid day. Police also recovered donkey hide from the suspect and registering a case against him.
