TIMERGARA: The local police claimed to have solved a blind murder case within five days and arrested the wife of the deceased along with her alleged paramour.

Talash SHO Jamilud Din told journalists that unidentified assailants had stabbed to death Rahim Zada, 40, in Macho Talash on Aug 25. He said the killers had thrown his body in bushes.

The SHO said that the wife of the deceased and her paramour were involved in the crime. A team of police traced the suspects with the help of their mobile phone record and other circumstantial evidence.

The official said that the deceased’s wife had developed illicit relations with a villager and both of them wanted to get rid of Rahim Zada. He said that police interrogated the woman, who confessed to her crime and also disclosed the name of her paramour. Both the suspects were sent to Timergara jail.

ORPHAN STUDENTS: The Tanzeem-i-Asateza, the teachers’ wing of Jamaat-i-Islami, on Sunday distributed school uniforms and bags among 200 orphan students.

A function in this regard was held at Government High School Mian Banda which was attended by orphan students, teachers, JI workers and elders of the area.

JI district emir Izazul Mulk Afkari, Tanzeem-i-Asateza leaders Misbahul Islam, Hakim Syed, Syed Jehan Badshah and Shafiqur Rehman and district education officer Hafiz Mohammad Ibrahim spoke on the occasion.

They said that the organisation represented teachers from primary schools to university level. They said that it was the duty of each welfare state to provide cheap education to all children but in Pakistan it was not possible because of limited resources and flawed educational policies.

The speakers said that rulers were plundering national exchequer for their luxuries but they had nothing to do with education of poor children.

They said that Tanzeem-i-Asateza had planned to distribute school uniform and bags among 3,000 orphan and deserving students of government schools in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The speakers called upon the students to focus on their studies and work hard to lead the nation in future. They said that students were the real asset of the nation as they had the ability to steer the country out of the turmoil if they were imparted quality education and provided with job opportunities.
