Water crisis

Published August 30, 2015

I WOULD like to highlight the severe water crisis since May in the PIA Employees Co-operative Housing Society located in Gulistan-e-Johar, Block 9.

Prior to the building of the central underground storage tank in violation of the KWSB regulations, the residents who duly pay their KWSB bills every month, were receiving adequate water direct from the KWSB.

However, with its completion, water is supplied only three to four hours a week, that too at the whim of the concerned staff. Since the restoration of full supply by the KWSB in the city, there is no reason for the erratic and short water supply.

I appeal to the authorities to look into this matter.
