First Haj flight from Sukkur to leave on 29th

SUKKUR: The first Haj flight from Begum Nusrat Bhutto Airport Sukkur would leave for Jeddah on Aug 29.

A meeting, presided over by Deputy Commissioner Sukkur Shahzad Fazal Abbasi on Monday, finalised Haj arrangements.

Officials of the Civil Aviation, PIA, municipal administration, health, police, and customs and of other departments attended the meeting.

Deputy Director Haj Muhammad Tahir Shaikh informed the meeting that 1,100 intending pilgrims would depart from Sukkur this year and the first Haj flight would leave for Jeddah on Aug 29.

The deputy commissioner said that all the required facilities would be provided to intending pilgrims at the Haj complex Sukkur.

To ensure cleanliness and lighting arrangement at Haj Complex, he directed the municipal officials to take adequate measures in this regard.

He said that cleanliness process would be completed till Aug 10 and sanitary staff should remain present at Haj Complex till the completion of Haj operations.

He directed the health department officials to complete the vaccination process for intending pilgrims 10 days before the departure of first Haj flight from the Sukkur airport.
