THOUSANDS of people died in Karachi a month ago owing to the heat wave, but the prime minister did not make a speech. Punjab was under flood last year, but the PM did not address the nation.
Karachi has repeatedly faced power outages in the last two months and the PM did not feel it warranted a speech. However, the prime minster made a speech the day they received the judicial commission decision in his government’s favour to tell the nation that his government was right and Mr Khan was wrong.
To my mind the message that the PM and his party is sending to the nation is crystal clear, --- we are here only to look after our interests and do not care about the people’s problems. I may sound bitter and harsh but this is an undeniable fact.
