THE Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) was launched to help those who need financial help. But the National Accountability Bureau’s inquiry reveals that, like other departments, there is also rampant corruption in BISP.

Its officials misused their authority and caused a loss of millions of rupees to the national exchequer.

In Pakistan, many needy persons are deprived of their rights owing to corrupt officials.

NAB must initiate inquiries against officials who are involved in corruption in the government departments and welfare schemes.
