KARACHI: Two young men including a policeman were killed in an attack in Korangi area late on Thursday, officials said.

They said the assailants attacked two friends who were standing near the home of one of them in Korangi. The victims were later identified as 32-years-old Zafar-ul-Hasan and 30-years-old Muhammad Javed who suffered multiple bullet wounds and died on the spot.

“Zafar-ul-Hasan was a policeman and posted at Gulshan-i-Iqbal police station. The victims were friends and sitting outside Zafar’s home.

“The motive and people behind the attack are yet to be ascertained,” said an official at the Korangi police station.
