ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) will issue income tax notices bearing verifiable bar codes from July 1 which can be verified online.

In case the bar code is not confirmed from FBR record, the system will display ‘Invalid Bar Code’. Recipients of such notices should immediately report the matter to the relevant Chief Commissioner-RTO office.

In case of non-action by Chief Commissioner of RTO, taxpayers receiving notice with invalidated bar-code, may lodge a maladministration complaint under Section 7 of FBR Act via post or email to member FATE, FBR House.
