PSB release 24 million for Asiad medal winners

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Sports Board on Friday released a bumper 24 million rupees for the medal winners of the last Asian Games which were held in Incheon, South Korea in September 2014.

In a landmark decision, the PSB released Rs 16 million for the national hockey team which won a silver medal at the Games with each of the sixteen players getting one million, Rs one million for bronze medallist boxer Mohammad Waseem, Rs one million for Wushu bronze medallist Maratib Ali and Rs 6 million for the twelve players of the national kabaddi team which also bagged a bronze medal.
