JI chief announces Rs1bn bounty for Modi's arrest

RAWALAKOT: Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) chief Senator Sirajul Haq on Monday announced Rs1 billion reward for anyone who arrests Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Addressing a gathering in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK)'s Rawalakot region, the JI chief said that India has failed to arrest Hizbul Mujahideen chief Syed Salahuddin despite keeping a reward on his arrest.
“I want to say to Modi that you and your agents cannot arrest Salahuddin. And you say whoever will arrest Salahuddin, we will give him Rs 50 crore. I too say that whoever arrests Modi, we will give him Rs1 billion,” he added.
The JI chief was also critical of federal government for granting India the status of 'Most favoured nation (MFN)'.
"Unless Kashmir issue is resolved, anyone who tries to befriend India is a traitor to both Pakistan and Kashmir," he said, adding that, “If you want the friendship of Hindustan, then go to Hindustan, to Delhi and to Mumbai, there is no place for you in Islamabad.”
Haq blamed Modi for killing hundreds of civilians in Jammu and Kashmir and Gujrat and slammed the government for not paying heed to Indian atrocities in Jammu and Kashmir.
“Our relations with India are conditional to Kashmir’s freedom,” he said.

There is a reason why JI and its like minded parties have never gotten a majority in parliament. People of Pakistan know better. JI is the political mouth piece of TTP. Maulana Siraj is more upset at 2000 deaths in india than by over 50,000 deaths in Pakistan. I wonder who will put a bounty for pakistani mass murderers.

Modi was not directly responsible for the killing of more than 2000 innocent people in Gujarat, India, though he was in connivance as he did not used his power as CM Gujarat to stop the massacre for two days…his silence was deafening, so he is responsible in a way…and supported the VHP, RSS goons to kill as many people as possible in the stipulated and given time.

If any one's bounty can resolve the issue then then all the world's problem could have been solved. What you need is a proactive approach where a goodwill and ability to accept Kashmiri's should be created. We ourselves are divided in-terms of race and ethnicity.

The people of such mindset are big obstacles in the way of normalization of relation between the two neighbours. Our position at international not at such level to compel India compromise on Kashmir. My humble suggestion is to keep the issue of Kashmir set aside for the moment and go ahead with doing other business for the mutual benefits of the common people of the region. But this initiative requires big heart and big sacrifice by politicians on both sides.
