LAHORE: A woman was shot dead allegedly by her rivals in Essa Nagri, Shadbagh, on Saturday.

Police said Fehmeda, 32, was asleep when Mubashir, Bhoola, Parvaiz and Raheem entered her house after scaling the wall and asked her about her brother and husband. On refusal, they shot her dead and fled.

Police said the attackers and the victims were relatives and were having a rivalry over the killing of a man of the accused family.

Police said they killed the woman for revenge as victim’s family had killed their man some years back.

The police shifted the body to the city morgue for autopsy, registered a case and started investigation.

ACCIDENT: A motorcyclist was killed in an accident on Wahadat Road near Naqsha Stop on Saturday.

Police said 25-year-old Jameel was going on his motorcycle when a car hit him, injuring seriously. The injured was taken to Jinnah Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.

Police shifted the body to morgue and registered a case after arresting the car driver.
