PESHAWAR: The government will enhance the capacity of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Service Commission (KPPSC) for expeditious recruitment in government departments.

A decision to this effect was taken at a high level meeting here on Wednesday chaired by senior minister for local government Inyatullah Khan.

Senior provincial minister for health Shahram Khan Tarakai, minister for information and higher education Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani, minister for elementary and secondary education Atif Khan and minister for finance Muzaffar Syed, KPPSC chairman and secretaries of establishment and law were in attendance, according to a statement.

The meeting expressed dismay over delay in recruitment process by the commission, and set up a sub-committee to review the legal and departmental problems causing delay in the recruitment and to prepare a draft proposal to remove the bottlenecks in this regard.

The sub-committee would be headed by provincial minister for finance, and secretary establishment, health, law and ST&IT would be its members.

On the occasion, Mushtaq Ghani said the government intended to make the recruitment process speedy so the educated youth could be inducted in government departments for better output.

Inayatullah Khan said the government wanted to make the legal process easy for expeditious recruitments by the commission.
