TAXILA:  Two persons died in road accidents in Hassanabdal and Taxila police limits on Friday.

A car hit Sabir Khan, 51, when he was crossing G.T. Road near Fauji Mill stop in the limits of Hassanabdal police station.

In the second accident, a woman was overrun by a van on G.T. Road.

Meanwhile, police found a body of a man bearing torture marks at the bank of Haro river.

They said the deceased was subjected to severe torture before being killed.

Meanwhile, Taxila police caught two persons snatching cellphone from a man while two others managed to flee.

The accused confessed to their involvement in a number of street crime incidents. Police have launched a hunt for their accomplices.
