LAHORE: Capital City Police Officer retired Capt Amin Wains has said that admin officers will have to play their due role in implementing the National Action Programme (NAP) with regard to tenant law, violation of loudspeaker and religious hatred act.

The CCPO was addressing a weekly meeting of admin officers at the Police Lines in Qila Gujjar Singh here on Friday.

He said the admin officers should keep a close liaison with citizens to implement NAP.

He said admin officers had been appointed to bridge a gap between the police and citizens.

Mr Wains awarded cash prizes among admin officers of Shadbagh, Sattukatla, Wahdat Colony and Sarwar Road police stations for efficiently handling the complainants.

Meanwhile, DIG (Operation) Dr Haider Ashraf held a meeting with the Iqbal Town SP (Operations) and SHOs to speed up search operation in their areas to implement NAP.

The DIG said that negligence on the part of police would not be tolerated and action would be taken against the officers who failed to control robbery and theft cases in their areas.

The DIG served a show-cause notice on the Samanabad SHO over poor performance and sought a reply from the Samanabad DSP for failing to arrest proclaimed offenders in his area.
