HYDERABAD: The boa­rds of the intermediate and secondary education of Hyderabad, Sukkur and Mirpurkhas have formed vigilance teams to stop cheating and use of unfair means during the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations scheduled to start in the province from today (April 7).

Section 144 has been imposed around the examination centres.

The Hyderabad board has formed 25 vigilance teams to oversee examinations in 10 districts, in which 130,854 candidates would appear.

SUKKUR: The controller of examinations of the Sukkur BISE, Abdul Sami Soomro, said on Monday that 110,000 candidates would appear in SSC examinations to be held under the board in Sukkur, Ghotki, Khairpur and Naushahro Feroze.

He said the board had set up 210 examination centres and taken strict measures to stop cheating during the exams.

Twenty-seven vigilance teams had been formed which would pay surprise visits to examination centres to check arrangements and conduct of exams.

MIRPURKHAS: The Mir­p­urkhas BISE announced that 63,600 candidates would appear in annual examination for the SSC exams for which 127 centers had been set up in Mirpurkhas, Sanghar, Tharparkar and Umerkot.

All candidates have been issued admit cards and all preparations made, said a press release issued by the BISE.

The board had formed five vigilance teams comprising controller of examination, secretary of the board and other officers; and six teams led by director of schools education and heads of educational institutions of the four districts to check use of unfair means.
