NTS negligence

Published March 30, 2015

MY sister had applied for the post of elementary school teacher through the NTS (Form No 800063) in the project of the Federal Government Educational Institution (Cantts/Garrisons) Directorate, Rawalpindi Cantt. The required qualifications of the said post were intermediate and CT. However, she has higher qualifications of BA and B.Ed.

But, shockingly, her form was rejected with the objection of “irrelevant qualification”. On contacting the directorate of the Federal Government Educational Institution on telephone number 0515-790892, they replied that she is definitely eligible as she had higher qualification than the requirement and they would guide NTS authorities regarding it but nothing happened.

However, on calling NTS on its helpline telephone no 051-8444441 nobody receives the call. Moreover, they don’t even reply by FAX or email.

Finally, after several days, when I connected NTS through another number, they replied that the deadline for the removal of objection was over. At the same time, the helpline representative admitted that the form was rejected due to their mistake, and added that, however, nothing could be done now.

It is evident that the NTS has hired people who are not up to the mark.

I request all organisations to properly check their manpower before giving the recruitment contract to any firm.
