Seabed territory

Published March 28, 2015

THIS is apropos the article ‘Pakistan seabed territory grows by 50,000 sq km’ (March 21). This is quite an achievement for Pakistan and I congratulate all the authorities and teams through whom this accomplishment was possible.

It is, however, saddening that our media did not highlight such jubilant news, giving it the precedence it deserved. Promoting news like this will only induce positivism, which is in dearth.

Moreover, the diligent team of the National Institute of Oceanography should be praised and given awards for their hard and credible work.
