KARACHI: Continuing from where they left, Rauf XI overwhelmed once formidable Police Boys Hockey Club 11-0 to register second straight victory in the Maj Jahanzeb Adnan Shaheed hockey tournament at Islahuddin-Dr Shah Hockey Academy on Wednesday.

Waseem Aslam shone for the winners scoring three goals in a span of 17 minutes — 36th, 43rd and 53rd — and was followed by Naveed Rao and Mohammad Ali’s brace. The formers back-to-back goals came in 13th and 15th minutes while the latter scored in 14th and 38th minutes. Other scorers were Farooq Khan (27th), Adnan Hamid (29th), Hunain Khalid (30th) and Bararuddin (55th).

It is pertinent to mention that Rauf X I had defeated Airport Club by the identical scoreline in their opening match.

Earlier, National Hockey Club got a walkover against Olympian Iftikhar Syed Sports Academy (OISSA).
