Foreign companies sign MoUs

KARACHI: Companies from Morocco, China and Saudi Arabia have signed contracts with local suppliers to provide engineering products, gems/jewellery and tents/canvas.

The ceremony took place at the Expo Centre here on Friday, which was attended by Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) Chief S.M. Muneer and TDAP Secretary Rabiya Javeri Agha.

The Moroccan company, M/s Materials Agricolas Automobiles and Industries, has agreed to purchase tractor wheel rims worth $1.1 million from Baluchistan Wheels Ltd in the next 18 months.

Another contract worth $6m, for export of tents and canvas cloth, was signed between Al-Farooq Enterprises of Pakistan and Al-Ghamdi Trading Estate of Saudi Arabia.

Similarly, strategic Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Gems and Jewellery Trade Association of China (GAC) and All Pakistan Gem Merchants and Jewellers Association (APGPA).
