ISLAMABAD: Hold’em team mustered 155.25 victory points (VPs) claimed the All Pakistan Bridge title at Islamabad Club, the Mind Sports Association of Pakistan (MSAP) said in a news release here on Monday.

Hold’em from Islamabad comprising Uzair Kamal, Imran Gardezi, Umer Aslam and Arsalan after losing their first match against Trendsetters, never looked back and exhibited a fine all-round show to win the tournament convincingly.

They overwhelmed leading teams including J.K. and Bilal’s team. Bilal’s team were leading on the first day but their performance on the second day was lacklustre, and they lost most of their matches.

The Karachi-based team collected 140.82 VPs to finish second. The team contained Gulzar Bilal, Mubashir Puri, Khalid Mohiuddin and Hamid Mohiuddin.

Saga were sitting comfortably at the second position till the start of the last round.

They were knocked down by J.K. team and slipped to third position with 140.73 VPs.

Having Ghalib Bandeshah, Assad Maqbool, Sarwar Khan, Shahid Hamid, Sarim Shakir, Asadullah Khan in their ranks, Saga scored 140.73, just an hairline difference between second and third position.

Fourth position went to Trendsetters having 132.10 VPs. The team consisted of Farida Ahmed, Goga Saeed, Azra Raja, Asif Ali and Hafeez Mirza.
