Army seize beach netball championship

KARACHI: Pakistan Army defeated the Pakistan Air Force in the National Beach Men’s Netball Championship final at Sea View here on Monday.

Army recorded a convincing 18-9 triumph in the title decider with Rana Zahid and Nawab Khan performing brilliantly for the winners.

Meanwhile, in the third place play-off, Punjab overpowered hosts Sindh 13-9.

Eight teams namely, Army, Air Force, Punjab, Sindh, Fata, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Police and Wapda participated in the tournament.

The Sindh Netball Association (SNA) in collaboration with the Pakistan Netball Federation (PNF) organised the championship.
