LAHORE: Former Davis Cupper and Pakistan coach Rashid Malik outclassed Mohammad Nawaz in the 45-plus category final of the ITF Senior Tennis Champ­ionships at the Bagh-i-Jinnah courts here on Monday.

Rashid, who had also won doubles final in the 50-plus category, faced no opposition from Nawaz, comfortably winning the battle 6-1, 6-4.

In the 35-plus category final, Arif Feroze furnished an easy victory against Irfanullah 6-2, 6-0.

And in another one-sided final, Asad Niaz overwhelmed Rai Zahid 6-2, 6-3 to win the 60-plus crown.

In the 35-plus doubles category, Haseeb Aslam partnering Sheheryar Salamat defeated Adnan Majeed-Faisal Majeed duo 7-6, 6-3 to lift the title.

Meanwhile, Pawan Jain and Vinod Kumar beat Inamullah-Nariash Khatri 6-2, 3-6 (11-9) to come out winners in the 50-plus doubles category.

And in the 60-plus doubles decider, Asad Niaz combining with Maj. Talha blanked Pervaiz Bajwa-Naveed Anjum pair 6-1, 6-0.
