According to the resolution, a special meeting of the executive committee was held on Saturday and senior member Syed Shabbar Raza presented a resolution stating the lawyer’s community praised the brave parents of the students killed in the Peshawar attack. He said their hearts went out to the parents and families who had lost their loved ones.

He said immediate hanging of the terrorists awarded death sentence by courts was the need of the hour. The resolution also commended the statement of Maulana Abdul Aziz of Lal Masjid in favour of the Taliban.

DBA Secretary Akhtar Khan confirmed the resolution had been passed in the special meeting of the executive committee of the DBA besides offering a prayer for the victim children and teachers.

APPEALS: President Mamnoon Hussain rejected mercy appeals of two prisoners of Jhang District Jail whose death sentences were upheld by the Supreme Court.

The jail housed 252 prisoners who had been awarded death sentences.
