GUJRANWALA: PML-N leader Hamza Shahbaz has warned the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf leadership against violence on Nov 30 in Islamabad otherwise stern action will be taken against the ‘troublemakers’ under the law.

He was speaking at a function to hand over livestock to flood-affected people in Wazirabad on Thursday.

He claimed the government under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was making concerted efforts to resolve the energy crisis by establishing power plants in the country while foreign investors were keen on investment in various projects.

Reports said the company had suspended supply to almost all industrial units and CNG stations from Nov 15. But the owners of four tile factories in Kamoki were using gas for their products.

On Thursday, a team led by senior engineer Asim Mir raided the units, removed the equipment and severed gas supply.

Talking to Dawn, Mir said as many as 52 textile units in the city were allowed gas while supply to about 300 CNG stations and 800 industrial units had been suspended for three months. He said the step had been taken to provide gas to domestic sector in winter.

He said residents of some city localities were facing low gas pressure owing to technical problems while the company was taking ‘concrete’ steps to provide gas to all domestic consumers.
