What a story that is! I don’t know how to categorise it though. In one way, it is also a weird love story. Remember that ’90s Bombay girl with smoky eyes Mamta Kulkarni? She married a drug dealer Vijay Goswami aka Vicky in the late ’90s. He was caught in Dubai by the police on drug trafficking charges, sentenced to 25 years in jail, but was released 10 years early because of ‘good conduct’.

A couple of weeks back the couple was in Kenya where law enforcement agencies, including the US Drug Enforcement Administration, got hold of him on, again, drug trafficking charges. News is that they didn’t take Mamta K into custody. Now the US wants Vijay G’s trial in America, for which legalities are being looked into.

My word! Leave aside the criminal angle (which is no less significant), the actress needs to be applauded for standing shoulder to shoulder with her hubby throughout these years. What’s with girls and bad boys!
