‘Rapists’ of hospital visitor arrested

VEHARI: Burewala Model Town police on Saturday arrested three suspects allegedly involved in the gang-rape of a woman who had visited THQ Hospital for administering polio drop to her child.

Police have sent samples to Forensic Science Laboratory, Lahore, for DNA test.

Two days back, ‘N’ of Saddam Town was allegedly gang-raped by three hospital employees when the woman visited the OPD for administering polio drops to her child.

Meanwhile, Vehari DCO Jawad Akram and DPO Sadiq Ali Dogar visited the hospital and inquired after the victim.

The DCO has formed a committee comprising Vehari EDO Dr Afzal Bashir, Additional Collector Rana Muhammad Saleem Khan, District Health Officer Dr Nasir Dilshad and DOC Mehr Amir Bakhsh to investigate the matter.
