KARACHI: Habib Girls School won the Karachi Girls Netball Cup after overcoming a spirited challenge from The City School PAF Chapter at the PSB Coaching Centre here on Tuesday.

The event was organised by the Sindh Netball Association in collaboration with the Pakistan Netball Federation and the Pakistan Sports Board.

Habib Girls players put up a fine show to win 9-7 with Zainab, Areeba and Sakina displaying outstanding skills.

In the third position match played between The City School PAF Chapter (Junior) and Bahria College Karsaz, both teams were tied at 7-7 at the end of regular time. However, in the three-minute extra time, The City School PAF (Junior) edged out Bahria 9-8.

Chief guest M.N. Mangrio, Director, Pakistan Sports Board, Karachi distributed the trophies, medals and certificates among the winners. Also present on the occasion were PNF secretary Mudassar Arain and secretary SNA Ajaz-ul-Haq.
